The Return of Martin Guerre is a simple movie, but it has a lot to offer the viewer. The term 'Best' is as you know a relative term. What you or I consider as the best may not even be in someone else's list. So the general rule is to proclaim the one which majority of the folks like as the best. Nevertheless, according to me the following can be regarded as some of the finest movie ever made. The hollywood, cannot boast with a large number of better movies. The Return of Martin Guerre is definitely one of these movies that you can watch several times and always find something new, and something interesting. Plot summary:
In the mid-16th century, Martin Guerre returns to his village in the southwest of France, and during the war away for almost a decade. The villagers, who knew him as a young man, I suspect that it is not Martin, but he seems to know everything about his friends, his family and his wife, even the most unusual things.
