La Chienne - one of the best Crime movies, I have ever seen. The term 'Best' is as you know a relative term. What you or I consider as the best may not even be in someone else's list. So the general rule is to proclaim the one which majority of the folks like as the best. Nevertheless, according to me the following can be regarded as some of the finest movie ever made. The hollywood doesn't have large number of better movies than La Chienne. The world of the film reminds us very much and we can identify with each other. Nevertheless, I recommend La Chienne with a clear conscience. The entrance song still gives me cold goosebumps. Plot summary:
Cashier Maurice Legrand to Adele, horror married. By chance, he meets Lucienne, "Lulu", and makes her his mistress. He thinks he finally met love, but Lulu is nothing like Street in love with Dede, her pimp. It takes only Legrand justice to Dede's money.
