I recommend the film to everyone, but I do not know if everyone will like it as much as I do. For Keeps? is certainly one of the best movies from 1988. For Keeps? is a long movie, with the space to expand and explore all it's features. The world of the film reminds us very much and we can identify with each other. Rich dialogues, which are the essence of this film, excite, especially in the context of these days boring productions. The entrance song still gives me cold goosebumps. Plot summary:
Darcy, editor of the newspaper at her high school, and her longtime boyfriend are state schools in recent months and has already found a place in the best universities. Recently, she started sleeping together and, surprise, Darcy pregnant. Neither Darcy mother who was abandoned by her husband and had Darcy himself or state Catholic to raise parents is very helpful and gets an abortion or give have to accept, respectively.
