Failan is really good production from year 2001. Failan is certainly one of the best movies from 2001. These days, fresh movies coming to the cinemas, do not have 'something' what this movie has. That soundtrack in few words: simple, deceiving, amazing, just right. I've been searching for more movie online like this. The atmosphere this movie created in my room was amazing. Have a nice evening watching this movie :).
Plot summary:
they only seek relatives after losing both parents, Failan (Cecilia Cheung) emmigrates to Korea. When it reaches Korea, she finds out that her relatives to Canada have well over a year ago. Desperate to stop a life in Korea and to make Failan is forced into an arranged marriage by a matchmaking agency. Kang Jae (Choi Min Shik) is old and outdated gangster who no respect from their peers have. There is a lack of money, Kang Jae decides to take on an arranged marriage. With nothing more than the image of Kang Jae Failan he spends day dream and wish that Kang Jae come to visit them. Failan Kang Jae often writes in mourning about how much he misses it and thinks about it, but does not dare to give the letters to Kang Jae.
